Wild Sunday Funday

Get ready to get wild at Wild Barbell Club's inaugural weightlifting competition: "Wild Sunday Funday!" We're thrilled to have major support from Lowcountry Barbell Club and CrossFit Johns Island.

Join us for a thrilling showcase of strength, skill, determination, and community spirit. Whether you're a seasoned lifter or you’re a Crossfitter dipping your toes in to the sport, this event promises an unforgettable experience. Whether you're aiming for personal records, using it as a heavy training day, or simply soaking in the excitement and joining as a spectator, expect a fun and supportive environment where athletes of all skill levels are welcome.

This is a sanctioned USA Weightlifting (USAW) event. Each athlete is allowed three attempts to achieve a successful snatch and three attempts to achieve a successful clean & jerk. Your score will be the total heaviest successful lift (heaviest snatch + heaviest C&J). The highest score for each lift is the one that is used as the official value for the lift. A full copy of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) rules for each lift can be found on the USAW website: https://www.usaweightlifting.org/about-us/governance-and-financial/bylaws-technical-rules-and-policies/rules

Need help with registration?

Read below and if you still don’t have your question answered, text or email Coach Nolan at wildbarbell@gmail.com!

When you click the button above to register, you will be taken to the USAW website to register for this event. The entry fee is $40 and you will need a USAW membership. If you do not want to purchase a full-year membership, you can save money by selecting a one-month membership instead of an annual membership.

In the registration form, your “Discipline” is your weight class. Your weight class should be the closest weight above your current weight. For example, if you weigh 200lbs… 200lbs = 91kg… so your weight class would be 96kg.

Your “announced entry total” in the registration form is the sum weight of your personal max snatch and clean & jerk in kilograms (#lbs / 2.2).
